In the 68th anniversary of the Palestinians Nakba, the Israeli occupation is still ethnic cleansing the Palestinians from their lands, destroying their presence and confiscating their opportunities in dignity maintaining life.

More than 6 million Palestinian refugees remain in very dire situations in refugee camps in the diaspora. Awkwardly, the United Nation General Assembly resolutions regarding the right of return have not been yet implemented, and none of those in the international society could get Israel succumb to the international law or even the international human rights law.

Since the day of Nakba the Palestinian refugees have been experiencing many kinds of transfers, the last of which is their continuing newly disastrous transfer from Syria where thousands of them lost their lives and properties while fleeing the war.

Likewise, hundreds of thousands of the refugees in Gaza Strip were displaced after the Israeli destroying war machine bombed their camps and neighborhoods in the last three wars against Gaza.

Other refugees in other countries are also being placed under pressure by the UNRWA which systematically reduces its services amongst them due to claimed shortages in its budget.

While commemorating this miserable anniversary the Palestine Forum in Britain would like to emphasize the following points:

1- The UK government and the entire international society have to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its enduring Nakba crime and other ongoing crimes which are being daily committed.

2- The international community and mainly the influential powers have to take over their responsibilities in putting an end to the ongoing Palestinian plight by putting pressure on the Israeli occupation through imposing sanctions on it.

3- Palestinians, wherever they are, will not give up struggling for their right of return to their original homes, and they are determined more than ever to continue in this course until achieving their legitimate goals. At the same time, they reaffirm the right of resistance by all internationally legalized means to liberate their land.

4- The PFB urges for the necessity of unifying all efforts to support the refugees in their places and to refuse all suspicious plans dedicated to affect their right of return.

5- The PFB calls on all supporters of Palestine to participate in all commemorating activities of Nakba throughout Britain especially the demonstration in front of the Israeli embassy on Saturday 14th May 2016.

End.
